| .... WATER .... Showers, Baths, Pools, Turkish Baths or Jacuzzi????? | | We have a shower which I like for convenience sake but we have no room for a bathtub unfortunately! I used to love taking turkish baths (steamy room, great for cleansing your pores) when I had gym membership. There was a pool there too with jets for various muscles. I like jacuzzis but usually get cold after about 10 minutes!! I love hot hot baths! My question is this... if you could spend 20 minutes in any kind of water, would it be the sea, a swimming pool, a jacuzzi, a bath, a shower or something else? And why? | |
| | Hotel Jacuzzi Tubs | | Okay, I work at a hotel and this came up when a bunch of us were discussing strange experiences. One night at 4 AM I had this couple come in and ask me for a suite with a jacuzzi tub. We don't have suites like that here and I told them so. They then asked if we had a jacuzzi we could use... ewwww!I told them no, of course. But when I told my co-workers this story ti got us all thinking. When you check into a room that has a jacuzzi tub, how well do you really think it is cleaned fromt he person before you who was in it? I can pretty much guarantee with the time it takes to fill one of them, that there's no way it gets filled enough to clean out the water that might be trapped in the jets. Which means when you turn it on... God only knows what you are getting in the water. It might not be much, but ewwww!Needless to say, I will never use a jacuzzi tub in a room ever again unless I have the time to fill it and clean it good myself! | |
| | Now let's get serious - boxers or briefs ... | | Two years ago there were five discussions asking for members' preferences between the two, and one that included boxerbriefs (and another, nothing) - this time, let us be serious ...I went to over a dozen sites and it seems to be the consensus of most that tight briefs and clothes do NOT lower sperm count in males, despite the long held theory that they hold the testes closer to the body, and allegedly elevate the temperature, and therefore decrease the sperm count. It is suggested if you want to have your female partner to conceive, you avoid hot showers, Jacuzzis, hot tubs, and the like, but wearing briefs do not elevate the temperature that much to affect sperm production.A few years ago I started wearing boxers because I felt it was more mature. I wore briefs for most of my life, and felt I was finally no longer a little kid anymore, so I should finally (at almost 50 years of age) start acting like a man.Yes, that is kind of stupid, but it has brought to my attention some very serious issues with wearing boxers. If more experienced users have answers to these issues, please educate us newbies ...Number 1: when going number one (that is, urinating) once in a... | |
| | How mant times do your bathe or shower in a day? | | On hot and humid days, we bathe or shower more than once. I know in some regions in the world they do not have the luxury of a water bath. They take sponge bath. On the other hand, the rich and famous have jacuzzis to lie in and have flower petal baths off and on to pamper themselves. I remembered that in certain cultures, if you are bathing, it should be before 12 noon. Apparently, they are superstitious that bathing ta lunch time is bad for our health. So how many times a day do you bathe or shower? I have a bath regularly but on super hot days, I bathe in the morning, noon and at night just before dinner. Come by and give me your practices and experiences in bathing. | |
| | Have you heard about Carnival's new ship Carnival Dream? | |
I just read about the Carnival Dream. It's Carnival Cruises brand new ship. It was christened last week in New York city. It can hold a maximum of 4,631 passengers and weighs 130,000 tons. It is Carnival's biggest ship to date.It features an indoor/outdoor cafe and four whirlpools suspended over the side of the ship (sounds scary). It has 36 onboard computers where you can find like minded guests that enjoy the same hobbies as you. They have a comedy club which includes top rated comedians. There are also nightly laser light shows on the top deck seaside theater. The new accommodations include family rooms, which include two bathrooms and balcony cabins. There spa has also been expanded and includes an Asian style atmosphere. It also has many areas catering to children, which makes it easier for family travel. This includes a water park, which I wouldn't mind going to. In total it has three swimming pools, 7 Jacuzzis, a giant movie screen, internet cafe, library, shopping promenade, bars, and lounges. This ship also offers 24 hour dining options. Eat all day and all night? Sounds good to me. If you want to go, Carnival Dream is planning on taking off on Dec.... | |
